I love this time of year! There’s a crisp coolness in the air, pumpkin lattes make an appearance and everything just gets a little cozier!
This is the time to swap out some decor and warm your home up a bit with apple crisp candles and cozy throws. The menu changes to comfort food such as hearty stews and soups that make you want to curl on the couch after indulging with a comfy blanket.
Today I am sharing 7 Ways To add Fall into your home and enjoy the Autumn season!
Pumpkins and Gourds

Pumpkins and gourds come in a variety of shapes and colors. You can go to your local pumpkin patch or purchase some at your neighborhood farmers market! They seem to pop up late September early October. I am drawn to the heirloom varieties in shades of blue, green, white and orange. The bumpier and uniquely shaped the better. A pretty stem is a must for me as well! Faux ones look so real nowadays! I find the best ones at HomeGoods, TJ Maxx and Pier1. Since Florida is so hot, this is a great option for outdoor porch decorating.
Candles

Candles add ambience and warmth to any home. You will find me lighting candles all year long but there is something special about fall scents that get me in the cozy spirit!
Wreaths

Wreaths are so welcoming when they are hung on a front door! I like to keep mine simple and use a magnolia wreath with its pretty shades of green and brown to compliment the fall season. I apply them using a large commando wall hook. That way there is no unsightly hook.
Pillows

Changing pillows for fall is an easy way to spruce up your space. Find pillows with earth toned colors and fun textures to give interest to your room. I recently compiled some of my favorite fall throw pillows!
Amber Glass

A collection of amber glass bottles is a simple way to add fall into your home. You can go on a hunt for vintage bottles or purchase new ones from Hearth & Hand. Collect different shapes and sizes and fill with eucalyptus and faux stems.

Dish Towels

This is fun way to add Fall to your kitchen.
Table Scape

Fall is my favorite time of year to spruce up my table for Thanksgiving by adding chargers, decorative plates, cloth napkins and sparkling glassware. Nothing says “welcome” to your family and friends like a well dressed table. This is the time I put my vintage silverware pieces to good use. Take the time and make a simple but eye catching centerpiece. Use a runner and place fall garland, pumpkins and candles in the center.
