This recipe kicks the traditional pumpkin pie up a few notches! It’s a warm pumpkin cobbler with a buttery streusel on top. Doesn’t that sound heavenly? It’s seriously that good! What makes this dessert even better is that it’s so simple to whip up!
It’s named “dump cake” because you put all the ingredients into a 9×13 pan. All dump cakes use one special ingredient to make them extra delicious. The sprinkling of one box of yellow cake mix over the ingredients, then drizzled with melted butter. How good does that sound?

Ingredients
1 can pumpkin purée
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 tsp vanilla
1 box yellow cake mix
2 sticks melted butter
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Preheat your oven to 350.
In a bowl mix pumpkin, milk, brown sugar, eggs, pumpkin spice and vanilla with a mixer.
Pour mixture in a greased 9×13 pan.
Top with the box cake mix. Sprinkle chopped nuts and drizzle the melted butter. The butter doesn’t have to cover the entire cake mix.
Bake for 40-45 minutes.
My favorite way to serve is warm with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on top and a sprinkling of pumpkin spice.

Enjoy! Happy Thanksgiving!
