I receive so many questions about our Primo Gas/Electric Copper Lanterns that I thought I would answer some of my most frequently asked ones!
How much do gas lanterns cost to run?

They are quite affordable to burn. These lanterns are designed to run 24/7. Depending on whether you have natural or propane gas, the cost to run will vary $8-$10 a month to burn one 24/7 for a month. Natural gas would be less expensive.
How do you maintain your copper lanterns?

Maintenance is super easy! I love the natural patina that copper produces so I don’t polish my copper. If you desire to keep the shinny appearance you can polish with Pledge. I do clean the glass once a month to remove debris and insects.

How do you turn off your gas lanterns?
This is so easy to do! There’s a small shut off valve at the base of the flame. Just turn that up the release the gas or turn down to shut the gas off to your lantern. I use a lighter stick to light once the glass is released. I also keep my door opened to let air circulate while igniting.
Do you ever turn off yOur gas lanterns?
No! I let them run 24/7. I feel completely safe burning them all day long.
What style and size did you choose?
For the front and garage I went with the 26” Royal. Our mudroom entrance and front porch hanging lanterns are the 21” Savannah. Mixing two styles creates character and interest.
I hope this answers one of your questions about the beauty of these amazing Primo Lanterns!
