I’m so excited for our first Christmas in our new home! I have never had a front porch before so decorating this one for Christmas was a thrill for me!
SimpLe and elegant
I love to keep my decor simple and elegant. I used the traditional Christmas colors red and green to make our porch vibrant and inviting. The warm flicker of our Primo Lanterns provide a magical glow.

Fresh greEnery
I was on the hunt for real cedar garland and found some at Lowe’s. They were $17.98 each for 20ft so I purchased two and combined both over our doors. My Smith and Hawkin pots from Target needed a Christmas update as well. Lowe’s sells these adorable Christmas pine trees in pots for $24.99. I bought two of those along with four red poinsettias for some added color.

Fresh gArland
I draped the fresh cedar garland over our 10’ doors and secured it with Command strips. These are awesome and have held up so far.

Pine trEes
I planted the pine trees and poinsettias in the pots. What’s so great about buying a living pine tree is planting it in your yard after Christmas.

Lights
Target was my go to for lights. They had these cool sphere lights for indoor/outdoor use. They look perfect draped on the mini pine trees by our front doors.
Tip
Tip when building is to add an outlet on either side of your front doors for Christmas lights.
WreathS
The gorgeous 28” fresh front door wreaths were purchased from my son’s girlfriend’s Lacrosse fundraiser. They smell so good and are holding up well. I also secured them with Command hooks.

Window wreaths
Lastly, I adore wreaths and wanted them on all our front windows. It makes a home look so cozy and homey. My absolute favorite store, HomeGoods had these amazing faux cedar wreaths with ice crystals. They glisten in the sun. I added a plaid wired ribbon that I purchased at Sam’s Club. I made a bows and attached them to the bottoms of each one.
I really love how it all turned out! There’s nothing better than sitting on our POLYWOOD Braxton rocking chairs and enjoying the cooler weather in our beautifully decorated porch.
